About Lauren
Lauren Reamy is a soprano and voice instructor based in the Northern Virginia area. She received her Masters of Music degree from Temple University in 2024 and her Bachelor of Music degree from George Mason University in 2021.
During her time at Temple University, Lauren covered Gretel in Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel, directed by Ben Robinson and conducted by Keith Chambers. She also sang in two productions of opera scenes as Norina (Don Pasquale) and Magda (La Rondine) respectively. Lauren was also fortunate to perform on a recital of Music by International Women Composers curated by Randi Marrazzo, of A Modern Reveal.
In 2021, Lauren was honored to participate in the premiere of the Sewanee Opera Fest program, where she worked with esteemed coaches such as Laura Brooks Rice, James Mitchell, and Jordan Schreiner. Lauren has twice earned a rating of Honors at the NATS Student Auditions, in 2018 and 2020. In 2022, Lauren was named a semi-finalist in the Orpheus Vocal Competition. During her time in academic, Lauren has been fortunate to sing on masterclasses held by soprano, Aundi Marie Moore, baritone, Andrew Garland, and stage director, Dean Anthony.
As an instructor, Lauren has worked with students ranging from elementary school aged to adult, and is comfortable teaching many styles including musical theatre, classical, pop, and more. Lauren has experience guiding students in the audition and role preparation process, and her students have been cast in shows such as Matilda the Musical, Alice in Wonderland Jr. and Into the Woods Jr.
Outside of singing, Lauren prioritizes spending quality time with her family and friends. She loves baking, working out, and reading.
